Pittsburgh, Pa. − May 28, 2019 − Senator Lindsey M. Williams and Representative Ed Gainey will co-host a Job Fair on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at the Kingsley Association, 6435 Frankstown Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15206 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. This Job Fair is being held in partnership with Building Bridges for Business and the U.S. Probation and Pretrial Services.

“Building Bridges for Business and U.S. Probation and Pretrial Services understand that one of the biggest hurdles that job seekers face isn’t finding open positions to apply for,” said Senator Williams. “Instead, they need help restoring a driver’s license, writing a resume, or building job skills. Combining these services with a job fair is the perfect way to provide that assistance while connecting people with employers looking to hire.”

“Our communities are full of talented people who need a real opportunity for employment,” Rep. Gainey added. “They are in need of a hand up, not a hand out.”

This job fair will feature local companies looking to fill positions immediately, as well as representatives from technical training and apprenticeship programs. Breakout sessions are as follows:

4:30 – 5:00 – Driver’s License Restoration Process

5:30 – 6:00 – Pardon and Record Expungement

6:30 – 7:00 – Improving Job Skills and Short-Term Training Programs
