Pittsburgh, Pa. − Junio 6, 2019 − Senator Lindsey M. Williams announced today that the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority (PIDA) has awarded a low-interest loan in the amount of $2.25 million to the Regional Industrial Development Corporation of Southwestern Pennsylvania (RIDC) in Marshall Township.

The funding will be used for the acquisition and renovation of a vacant two-story, 52,386-square-foot building. The project includes a new roof, a new high efficiency, boiler, LED lighting, and parking resurfacing. Following these upgrades, the structure will be able to accommodate up to four tenants.

“Seeing existing facilities get much needed upgrades that will entice businesses to either start up or relocate here is always exciting,” said Senator Williams. “This particular project is even more so because I know that Marshall Township has been very supportive of helping RIDC Park reach its full potential. This PIDA loan will go a long way toward helping achieve that goal.”

These low-interest loans are provided to eligible businesses that commit to creating and retaining full-time jobs within the Commonwealth, as well as for the development of industrial parks and multi-tenant facilities.
